Wild Water Kayak Club - Canoeing and Kayaking in Ireland
In full swing ……
WWKC members are proud to be part of the biggest network of paddlers in Ireland. We have a reputation for fun, safety and learning and people who want to kayak want to kayak as a part of WWKC.
I know that we are all enjoying the successes achieved by our paddlers who have been selected for national squads (polo, WWR and freestyle). I would like to congratulate everyone on the high standards achieved by all our competitive paddlers in the current season, and wish them more success throughout the remainder of the season.
We offer instruction and coaching that is amongst the best in the country. We have strong links with the best of our national and international coaches and we use these relationships to identify and offer courses that seek to advance the best practices in kayaking and instruction. Members are motivated and open to learning and take every opportunity to add to their breadth of knowledge and to use it for the benefit of the club. We run very successful introductory courses every year to introduce people to kayaking. We have a significant number of qualified and trainee instructors.
There are active participants in each of the disciplines the club is involved in - GP, freestyle, polo, slalom, open canoeing, wild water racing and marathon. There is a range of ability in each discipline from novice to expert, and paddlers are encouraged whether they prefer to specialise in one discipline or partake in them all, and whether they want to participate in a competitive or recreational manner.

And as a special treat you can right click on the image and choose Save Target As to download some video of the Duff on the way home from New Years. It might take a while. I had to mess with the quality a lot to get it this small but it's still worth it to see some very inventive runs and Diarmuid styling it with no blades. Oh, and watch out for a touching finale from Jack and Aisling.
