***Ladies Session - Sunday 19th November***

Post by Fran » Mon Nov 13, 2017 2:55 pm

Lovely ladies!

Our next ladies session will take place on Sunday, 19th Nov. Good news, this is open for all ladies, especially those who joined the club this year.

We will be heading to the magical Boyne. After the rescue and skills sessions we covered earlier this year, this trip will be all about running rivers as a peer group and we will be looking at some pointers along the way, i.e. picking a line, positioning for rescue cover, keeping line of sight and so on.
If anyone is keen on a bit of surfing and playing, we can certainly do that as well and oh, if anyone was playing with the thought of trying out a playboat, this would be a great opportunity (not winking at anybody in particular)

Most of all, it's a great opportunity to just paddle together. We're organising these sessions to encourage and develop women's paddling in the club and to have a bit of banter with our fellow female paddlers.

The trip is suitable for all abilities and it is open to 10 paddlers (L2, L3 and L4).

We'll meet at the club 9.00am and will be packed up and gone by 9.15am. If you'd like to meet us at the get on, please aim to be there at 10am (please let us know if you're planning to come straight to the get on). We'll head for coffee & cake after, so bring a bit of time with you.

You all know the drill of what to wear by now (wetsuit, cag and thermals/ fleece as well as sturdy footwear at the minimum). Please keep in mind that temperatures have dropped a lot, so make sure to layer up and bring food and a hot flask with you. A swimming cap can be nice as well to keep a bit of heat around your head. All club gear is available for this trip.

Please post your name, level of experience, and if you need a lift with someone else (or the use of their roof rack). Let's try to get organised early to car pool to minimise the amount of cars travelling.

GO ON THE GIRLS! It's going to be fun!

Franzi & Domi & Amy

4. Catherine, L2
5. Linda Forth, L3
6. Maria Cole, L3
7. Ewa, L2
8. Sinead OR, L3

There are 3 playboats in the club, Sinead. Make sure to get down early to try them for size :-)

Hey, sign me up for a space if there's any left. L2, all my own gear so I'll meet at the get on if that's OK.

Apologies Franzi, but I need to take my name off the list. Had hoped to reschedule a commitment this Sunday but unfortunately it's not possible.

I'm really sorry to be missing out on this day :(

Girls, it's supposed to be a cold night, so wrap up warm for tomorrow.
See yis all in the morning, (9am at the club or 10am at Stackallan), looking forward to it!
